Kokolus inducted into honor society

University of Scranton

Andrew Kokolus, of Northampton, was among the 54 University of Scranton students inducted into Upsilon Phi Delta, the national honor society for graduate and undergraduate students in health care administration programs. Students must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.5 for induction. The university’s chapter of the honor society was established in 2002. Kokolus is a senior pursuing a health administration degree at the Jesuit university.

Perelli places first in skills contest

Pennsylvania College of Technology

Joelle E. Perelli, of Bath, competed on Pennsylvania College of Technology’s SkillsUSA team for the April 18-20 Pennsylvania Leadership and Skills Conference in Hershey. She placed first in the welding fabrication category and is moving on to a national competition June 25-30. She is majoring in welding and fabrication engineering technology.

The theme for the competition was “Champions at Work: Job-Ready, Day One.”

Miller inducted into honor society

Lebanon Valley College

Elliot Miller, of Whitehall, was recently inducted into Sigma Alpha Pi at Lebanon Valley College during the college’s annual inquiry celebration.

Miller, a graduate of Whitehall High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in business administration at The Valley.

Frankenfield elected treasurer

King’s College

Kieran Frankenfield, of Whitehall, was recently elected treasurer of the Student Government Association at King’s College, Wilkes-Barre. The Student Government Association is the essential representative of the students, an advocate of their concerns and a vital component of the college community.

Frankenfield is a sophomore dual major in accounting and business management and a consistent dean’s list student. She is a member of the Accounting Association at the college.

Frankenfield is the daughter of Tim and Amy Frankenfield.

Casey named to ensemble cast

SUNY Potsdam

The award-winning Crane Opera Ensemble at SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music is set to present the timeless Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, “The Pirates of Penzance,” April 20 and 21. Both performances are 7:30 p.m. in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater.

The cast and crew includes Kimberly Casey, of Whitehall, who is a dance captain and member of the chorus.

Gallagher accepts award

Delaware Valley University

Caitlin Gallagher, of Bath and a member of Delaware Valley University’s Pre-Veterinary Club, traveled with club adviser Dr. Pamela Reed to Auburn University to attend the American Pre-Veterinary Medical Association (APVMA) annual symposium March 23-24. The university’s Pre-Veterinary Club was recognized with an Outstanding Club Community Service Award at the event.
