Patrick T. Oroskey, of Whitehall, has earned a bachelor of science degree in engineering design technology during one of the Pennsylvania College of Technology’s commencement ceremonies May 13 and 14.
On May 14, 508 graduates took center stage for Elizabethtown College’s 113th commencement. Regina M. Benjamin, 18th U.S. surgeon general, was the speaker.

Millersville University of Pennsylvania announces its dean’s list for the spring 2016 semester. The 1,250 students named to the dean’s list earned a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher and attempted at least 12 credits of course work.

Samantha Donohue, of Whitehall, was inducted into Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society at Kutztown University April 9. Inductees are adult students who have a minimum of a 3.2 GPA and have successfully completed at least 24 credits at Kutztown University. The university inducted 27 students into the honor society this year.
Derek McCartney, of Catasauqua, was recently inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society at Delaware Valley University during the spring 2016 semester. Alpha Lambda Delta encourages superior scholastic achievement among first-year students. The honor society promotes intelligent living and a continued high standard of learning. Members are encouraged to recognize and develop meaningful goals for their unique roles in society. To be inducted, students must have a GPA of 3.5 or better during their first full-time year.
Christina Harrison, of Coplay, is one of 20 Wilkes University education majors completing a student teaching assignment at area schools this semester. Harrison is currently completing assignments at Lake Lehman High School and is pursuing a teaching degree in secondary history. Student teaching is one of the requirements for earning teacher certification in Pennsylvania.
A total of 1,409 students have been named to the dean’s list at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) for the fall 2015 semester of the 2015-2016 academic year, according to Joanne Bruno, J.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs. Students eligible for the dean’s list are those who have attained a 3.5 quality point average or better and are enrolled full time. The letter grade B earns 3 quality points per credit, and the grade A earns 4 quality points per credit.
Wilkes University Provost Dr. Anne Skleder has announced the dean’s list for the fall 2015 semester. To be named to the dean’s list, students must obtain a minimum 3.4 grade-point average and carry at least 12 credits.
