LTAA honors wrestlers

On Sunday, April 28, the Lehigh Township Athletic Association (LTAA) wrestling banquet took place in Danielsville.

The banquet was sponsored by the Talon Wrestling Club and was free of charge to all in attendance.

"This was the most successful year in my eight years of coaching here," said Joe Tocci, head coach and wrestling coordinator for LTAA. "We have a wonderful parents and a dedicated group of kids who have worked very hard to become the best wrestlers possible."

For landowners who are reluctant to allow hunting on their property, Senate Bill 648 sponsored by Pennsylvania Senator Alloway, now protects them from liability for actions of others.

It's not the end of the world, but...

The softball season did not end Monday for the Northampton softball team, but it must have felt like it did.

After jumping in front 2-0 after one inning, the Konkrete Kids seeded No. 1 in the Lehigh Valley Conference playoffs let one get away as Emmaus rallied for a 6-2 win in 10 innings.

Played at Allentown's Patriot's Park, the Konkrete Kids fell to 19-2 overall, but still have the District 11 playoffs to look forward to.

If you're an avid bass fisherman, did you know there's a new species of black bass swimming in southeast waters according to the Outdoor Pressroom.

Scientists from Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission have discovered these new species while DNA testing a species found in Florida's Chipola River in 2007.
