On Dec. 1, 2017, more than 45 parents continued their participation in the kindergarten parent workshop on math concepts held at George Wolf Elementary in Bath.
The parent workshop, designed by George Wolf’s kindergarten teachers, is the second of a new series of three parent workshops. The first kindergarten parent workshop was held early in the fall on literacy concepts.
Committee appointments for 2018 have been made by Northampton Area School District Board of Education.

Schools will be closed Jan. 15 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
A notice will be sent home regarding any makeup snow days to the school calendar.
The Box Tops For Education program continues to be underway in the elementary schools. Each Box Top earns money for the schools.
Box Tops can be found on many different products. Simply cut out the Box Tops and send them to school with your child.

Northampton Exchange Club recognized several Northampton Area High School seniors at a dinner held Dec. 6 at Northampton Banquet & Event Center.
These November and December Students of the Month were selected based on their strong academic record, involvement with both in-school and out-of-school activities, leadership and service to the community.
Laura E. Rex, of Walnutport, and Lane A. Markulics, of Bath, were November’s recipients.
Elizabeth Fehnel, of Bath, and Carson Keefe, of Danielsville, were recognized for December.
Northampton Area Konkrete Kids Educational Foundation has donated $133,000 to Northampton Area School District.
Bill Conner, president of Konkrete Kids Foundation Board, also said in his report at the Dec. 18 Northampton Area School District Board of Education meeting that the foundation donated $25,000 this year and $33,000 last year to the district.
Conner announced the foundation has launched a new program: the Distinguished Alumni Award.
