Police responded to a report of a lost wallet in the parking lot of Paulie’s Family Restaurant, 1214 Chestnut St.

The department performed a welfare check in the 100 block of South Eighth Street.

A parking complaint in the unit block of North Fifth Street was received.

JAN. 16

Police were on the scene of a vehicle lockout at the gas station at Giant, 202 Chestnut St.

Officers handled a vehicle lockout in the unit block of Stonewood Place for Catasauqua police.

JAN. 8

At Apartments for the Elderly, 118 Bridge St., homeless persons were reported in the hallway. Police gave them a courtesy transport.

On 10th Street, the theft of a vehicle occurred. It was later recovered.

Tickets were issued in the 700 block of Railroad Street.

A water problem brought police to the 200 block of Front Street.

On Front Street, a loaded pallet fell off a truck, the department said.

Police investigated a civil matter in the 100 block of Bridge Street.

A suspicious person walking in the 1100 block of Oak Street was reported.

A custody issue in the unit block of South Front Street brought police to the scene.

Packages were stolen from a porch in the unit block of South Second Street.

A parking complaint in the 200 block of Chestnut Street was received.

Police assisted the fire department with an alarm sounding in the unit block of North Front Street.

Police car involved in a crash

Catasauqua

A Catasauqua Borough police vehicle was involved in a crash Jan. 13 at Second and Pine streets.

According to Police Chief Douglas Kish, a Jeep traveling southbound on Second Street pulled abruptly out onto Pine Street. The driver may have missed the stop sign at the intersection, Kish said, adding the police car had nowhere to go.

Kish indicated any accident involving a police vehicle is investigated by Pennsylvania State Police.

Officers were called to Arch Street to unlock a car door.

A traffic stop was conducted at Fourth and Main streets.

JAN. 1

A report of trespassing in the 500 block of Wyandotte Street brought police to the scene.

Police performed a traffic stop at Fifth and Arch streets.

The department investigated the report of a wanted individual in the 1000 block of Fourth Street.

A domestic disturbance in the 1000 block of Fifth Street was reported.

The department investigated a harassment report in the 4100 block of Reliance Street.

A suspicious person on the Ironton Rail Trail was reported.

JAN. 1

Officers assisted the fire department in the 1100 block of Bernice Drive. A water pipe had burst and flooded a resident’s basement.

A carbon monoxide alarm in the 800 block of Catherine Drive brought police to the scene.

The department responded to a complaint of snow not being shoveled in the unit block of South Third Street.

JAN. 2

Threats between tenants in the unit block of South Second Street were investigated.

Crash closes part of Airport Rd.

A serious head-on collision occurred just before 5 a.m. Jan. 8 on Airport Road. The accident occurred on the bridge overpass between Hanoverville Road and Colony Drive in East Allen Township.

Medical helicopters were seen circling the area shortly after the accident.

Local reports indicated three people were seriously injured, but it was not confirmed by Pennsylvania State Police. The vehicles at the scene appeared to be a Ford pickup truck and a car.

A portion of Airport Road was closed until around noon.

An individual was advised to leave the property at La Herencia El Camacho, 7 Lehigh St., when police responded to a report of disorderly conduct.

In the 200 block of Second Street, officers investigated a harassment case.

DEC. 30

The department said an investigation is continuing regarding a domestic offense against family report that occurred in the 100 block of Second Street.

A missing juvenile from the 100 block of Front Street was located.

In the 700 block of Front Street, music was turned down and the owner warned two separate times when police investigated a noise complaint. On the third call, the person was cited.

A dispute between a mother and daughter occurred in the 600 block of Third Street.

At ASL Mechanical, 428 Pearl St., a vehicle was damaged.

At Catasauqua Highrise, 534 Third St., police responded to a parking complaint.
