Body discovered in Whitehall woods

Whitehall police are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered July 24 in a wooded area of MacArthur Road.

According to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office, the man, who has not yet been named, was pronounced dead 6:25 p.m. that night in the vicinity of 2601 MacArthur Road. That address is identified as Walmart.

An autopsy was scheduled for July 26 to determine the cause of death.

No additional information was available at press time.

Officers assisted Bethlehem police with a report of a male stopped for a traffic violation at Ninth and Main streets. The male, who had an outstanding warrant, was released to a Bethlehem officer.

JULY 17

Criminal mischief in the 400 block of East 12th Street was reported to police. The department said a legally parked vehicle had cake thrown on the windshield and was egged.

In the 1600 block of Main Street, police responded to a report of a domestic dispute between a male and a female.
