Driver dies in crash

Hanover Twp.

A Hanover Township man died March 22 in a motor vehicle accident in Hanover Township.

Barry Schultz Sr., 65, was pronounced dead 8:08 a.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, according to Lehigh County Coroner Scott M. Grim.

Grim said Schultz was operating a motor vehicle when it struck a snowbank approximately 7:29 a.m. on Catasauqua Road, near Airport Road. According to reports, his pickup truck hit a snowbank, rolled over and caught on fire.

His autopsy was scheduled for March 23 to determine the exact cause of death, Grim said.
