MAY 15

In the 300 block of Race Street, police responded to an argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend in a vehicle.

A neighbor dispute brought officers to the 600 block of Third Street.

In the 200 block of Second Street, a juvenile was cited for harassment.

An argument between a mother and daughter brought police to the 300 block of Church Street.

A burglary in the 100 block of Front Street brought out police. A television and DVDs were stolen, the department said.

Township police checking for seatbelt use this afternoon

Whitehall Township police will conduct a “Border to Border” seatbelt enforcement event 4-8 p.m. today.

The township department has partnered with 315 municipal law enforcement agencies in Pennsylvania and 24 other states to send a zero-tolerance message to motorists that driving or riding without a seatbelt will result in a ticket, no matter the state.

To increase safety on Pennsylvania’s roadways, state and municipal police will conduct traffic enforcement zones and roving patrols to identify unbelted occupants in Lehigh County.
