Police issue DUI citation

A traffic stop by borough police Sept. 15 resulted in the arrest of Kyle Miller, 32, of 17 W. Tenth St., Northampton.

Miller was cited for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was transported by police to the Lehigh County Central Booking Center, Allentown, for processing.

Tricycle stolen

Jonathan Schlager of 110 S. Seventh St., Coplay, reported on Sept. 15 the theft of a tricycle.

Described as a red and white Hendstrom tricycle, the tricycle was stolen off the back porch at the Seventh Street property.

Water rescue

Dispatched to 12th Street and Tapler Drive on the evening of Sept. 4, borough police officers responded to a call for a water rescue.

Arriving at the scene, police found a silver Hyundai stranded in two feet of water. The driver, an unidentified woman, told police she was fine and not injured, police said.

Coplay Fire Department personnel responded and pushed the car to the side of the road when the water subsided, police said.
