A hit and run took place at Main and 19th streets. The driver-side mirror of a legally parked vehicle was struck.

MARCH 26

The department received a report of credit card fraud in the 400 block of East 11th Street.

A male causing a disturbance in the 1700 block of Main Street brought police to the scene.

The department received a report of credit card fraud in the 1900 block of Laubach Avenue.

Police responded to a disturbance in the 1100 block of Fifth Street.

The department performed a welfare check in the 200 block of Front Street.

An unwanted person in the 700 block of Locust Street was investigated.

A welfare check was conducted in the 700 block of Grove Street.

Police performed a traffic stop on Eugene Street.

Officers assisted Catasauqua police with a report of an assault on Bridge Street.

Officers investigated a theft in the 2500 block of Eberhart Road.

Disturbances on MacArthur Road, Fifth Street and Spruce Street were reported.

Police investigated suspicious activity in the 1700 block of Juniper Drive.

In the 4700 block of Main Street, a suspicious person was investigated.

A hazardous condition on MacArthur Road was reported.

An abandoned vehicle in the 1200 block of Poplar Street was reported.

APRIL 9

A theft from a vehicle occurred at Biery’s Port Bodyworks, 307 Front St.

On Peach Street, police investigated a parking complaint. The vehicles were gone upon arrival.

In the 300 block of Mulberry Street, a civil issue occurred.

A parking ticket was issued on School Street.

At Sue Albert’s School of Dance, 256 Race St., a dog was taken inside by the owner.

At Biery’s Port Bodyworks, 307 Front St., an issue with an ex-girlfriend occurred.

Drug collection event is Saturday

The 15th National Take Back Day drug collection event has been scheduled for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 28. During that time, Lehigh County residents can take expired and unused prescription and over-the-counter medications to police departments and other locations at 14 sites in Lehigh County.

County residents can dispose of capsules, pills and liquids, including pet medications.

Syringes or sharps will not be accepted. Residents who dispose of medications will remain anonymous, and no questions will be asked.

State police seek information on 16 unsolved homicides

Pennsylvania State Police Troop M has released information regarding 16 unsolved homicides on the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers website, crimewatchpa.com/crimestoppers/316.

Some of the cases from Northampton, Lehigh and Bucks counties are decades old, with one dating back to the 1950s.

Some of the highlighted cases include the following.

• Kelly McBride was residing in her home in Northampton Borough at the time of her murder. Her husband was convicted of her murder in 2001, but her remains were never recovered.

APRIL 1

At Force 1, 403 Wood St., abandoned vehicles were tagged.

A domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend occurred in the 100 block of Howertown Road.

Suspicious activity on Church Street was reported. The report said a person was looking through cars.

In the 500 block of Race Street, a fight over domestic issues occurred.

Officers assisted Whitehall police in the 3700 block of Lehigh Street.

The department responded to a domestic disturbance in the 600 block of Walnut Street.

A sewer backup at Second and Eugene streets was reported.

A traffic stop was conducted at Fourth and Main streets.

Suspicious activity in the 500 block of Spruce Street was reported.

Officers responded to a theft from a vehicle in the 1200 block of Basswood Lane.
