Walter J. Riedi, 90, formerly of Fla., died March 16, 2014, at Woodlawn Terrace at the Oaks, Salisbury Township.

Born in Oelwin, Iowa, he was a son of the late Walter and Edith (Premis) Riedi.

He was a graduate of Drexel University with a bachelor's degree in engineering.

He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was an executive upon retiring from Sears Roebuck Company after 40 years.

He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Daytona Beach, Fla.

He was a member of the Easton Lodge 152, F.&A.M.

Bruce F. Hetrick, 63, of Whitehall, died March 12, 2014, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Mary Helen T. (Sommer) Hetrick for 40 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Franklin G. and Agnes P. (Panik) Hetrick.

He was a Whitehall High School 1968 graduate and a Pennsylvania State University graduate.

He was a staff sergeant, 8th Engineering Battalion Force Troops, U.S. Marine Corps, during the Vietnam War.

He was an engineer at Mack Trucks Corporation for 34 years.

David "Kelly" MacLaughlin

David "Kelly" MacLaughlin, 83, of Fullerton, died March 26, 2014, at Westminster Village, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Betty Jane (Maddox) MacLaughlin.

He was a 1948 graduate of Catasauqua High School. He attended Long Island University. He earned a bachelor's degree from East Stroudsburg University and a master's degree from Lehigh University.

He was in the U.S. Marines from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean Conflict.

Julia Henitz, 94, of Northampton, died March 29, 2014, at Sacred Heart Senior Living, Northampton. She was the wife of the late John Henitz.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Julianna (Orban) Sakovits.

She was a saleslady at Macy's for 27 years.

She was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton.

She and the Sakovits family were founding members of Sts. Peter and Paul Hungarian Society, of which she was a member.

Gerald "Jerry" D. Case, 79, of Catasauqua, died March 28, 2014, at his son's residence in Huntington Valley. He was the husband of LaRue M. (Hess) Case for 58 years.

Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Theodore and Florence (Nagel) Case.

He was a welder for Universal Atlas Cement Company, Northampton, for 30 years and for Keystone Cement Company for 10 years before retiring.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua.

She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing.

She was an operating room and a private duty nurse. She was a church organist for many years.

She was a member of Christ Church Little Moore U.C.C., Danielsville, and a former member and volunteer of Zion's stone U.C.C., Kreidersville.

Jane E. Litwin, 56, of Northampton, died March 17, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Charles Litwin for 28 years.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Virginia (Heckman) Hower and the late Warren Hower.

She was a 1975 graduate of Northampton High School and a graduate of Kutztown University.

She worked in the bakery department of the Giant Food Store, Coplay, for the past 11 years. She was a preschool teacher for the former St. John's U.C.C. nursery school.

Marie F. Roth, 88, of Whitehall, died March 19, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown.

She was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Mary M. (Schwindenhammer) Roth.

She worked for the former Grief men's suits in various seamstress positions.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Catasauqua.

She is survived by two sisters, Joan and her husband Richard Pudliner and Margaret Tycholiz; a brother, Louis Roth; five nieces; three great–nieces; two great–nephews; two great–great–nieces; and four great–great–nephews.

Joseph M. Barczy Jr., 62, of Northampton, died March 20, 2014, in Tampa, Fla. He was the husband of Carol (Wagner) Barczy for 29 years.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Joseph Barczy Sr. and Dorothea (Novak) Barczy of Northampton.

He was a 1969 graduate of Catasauqua High School.

He was a yeoman trainee in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. After discharge, he was a chief of naval operations at the Pentagon.

He was a clerk of operations for Service Electric Cable Television and Communications, Bethlehem, for the past 30 years.

Grace M. Snyder, 86, of Richmond, Va., and formerly of Coopersburg, died March 19, 2014, at Henrico Doctor's Hospital, Richmond, Va. She was the wife of Ray G. Snyder for 59 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Franklin T. and Minnie M. (Reichelfelder) Bower.

She was a 1948 graduate of Whitehall High School. She was a graduate of Kutztown State Teacher College and earned a master's degree from Temple University.

She was a teacher in the Southern Lehigh High School District for 36 years before retiring in 1985.
