John O. Erdosy, 67, of Lehighton, died Dec. 3, 2013, in his home. He was the husband of Dale S. (Sakers) Erdosy.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Albert and Dorothy (Buckeye) Erdosy.

He was a 1964 graduate of Northampton High School, where "Sparkles" set records in baseball (most stolen bases) and football. He earned a bachelor's degree in physical education at West Chester College.

He was a health and physical education teacher for Northampton Area School District. He was a football, track, tennis and gymnastic coach.

Marguerite B. Wasser, 87, of Lykens and formerly of Northampton, died Nov. 30, 2013, at Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Earle R. Wasser Jr.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Marguerite (Crock) Breinig.

She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Howertown.

She is survived by a son, Glenn A. and Catherine Dulaney of Lykens; and a nephew, Michael Henzel.

She was predeceased by a sister, Verona Breinig.

Stanley W. Smith, 86, of Allentown, died Dec.1, 2013, in his home. He was the husband of Dorothy S. (Kline) Smith for 63 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Victor T. and Clara P. (Hunsicker) Smith.

He was a 1945 graduate of Northampton High School and a 1957 graduate of Muhlenberg College.

He was an Electrician's Mate 2nd Class in the U.S Navy during World War II.

Robert L. Schwarz, 93, formerly of Catasauqua and Allentown, died Nov. 23, 2013, at Luther Crest, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Helen (McKeever) Schwarz.

Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late George and Anna (Leickel) Schwarz.

He was a gradute of Catasauqua High School and Duke University, Durham, N.C. He was one of the first students at Duke Marine Lab, Beaufort, N.C.

He was a medic in the U.S. Army in World War II. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge.

Ronald G. Cuth, 70, of Whitehall, died Nov. 30, 2013, in his home. He was the husband of Marjorie A. (Frack) Cuth for 48 years.

Born in Whitehall Township, he was a son of the late Anthony G. and Margaret D. (Yanek) Cuth.

He was in the U.S Marine Corps Reserves for many years.

He owned and operated the former Ron's Auto Interiors, Coplay, before retiring in 2006. Before that, he worked at Jack's Auto Trim, Allentown.

He was a former member of the Tri-Boro Sportsman Club and the Northampton American Legion Post 353.

Joyce M. Demczyszyn, 89, of Allentown and formerly of Northampton, died Nov. 30, 2013, at Phoebe Home, Allentown.

Born in Egypt, she was a daughter of the late Preston and Ellen (Nothstein) Fenstermaker.

She was a Northampton High School graduate.

She worked a Consolidated Vultee Aircraft to help support the war efforts.

She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Northampton.

Benjamin Paul Hadley, 29, of North Catasauqua, died Nov. 23, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was the fiance of Samantha L. DeBlanco.

Born in Hillsboro, he was a son of G. David Hadley and his wife Cindy and Janis Lyn Brickey and her fiance Tom Hurst.

He was a graduate of Forest Grove (Ore.) High School. He completed his associate degree in nursing at Lehigh Community College.

He was employed by Bayada, Allentown, as a home health aide.

He was an artist, writer and musician and played a variety of instruments.

She worked in various secretarial positions, and retired from the American Mathematical Society, Lehigh University.

Raymond E. Druckenmiller, 84, of North Catasauqua, died Nov. 21 2013, at Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the husband of Josephine (Lerch) Druckenmiller for 61 years.

Born in North Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Tilghmand and Annie (Rockel) Druckenmiller.

He was a 1947 graduate of Whitehall High School.

He was in the U.S. Navy and the Seabee Reserves and was a member of the Navy Fleet reserves for 22 years.
