Karen L. Schmidt, 66, of Emmaus, formerly of Northampton, died July 17, 2013, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Francis D. Schmidt who died April, 1993. Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Geraldine M. (Mohrey) Pinter.
She was last employed by Dr. Mark Cerciello as the office secretary for a few years, retiring in 1992. Before that, she worked for Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown, as a secretary for 10 years and as a unit secretary at the former Osteopathic Hospital, Allentown for five years.
Betty Crouthamel, 88, formerly of Plainfield Township, died July 2, 2013, in Holy Family Manor. She was the wife of the late Kenneth M. Crouthamel.
Born in Bethlehem Township, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Viola (Campbell) Bennett.
She worked at the former Orr's Department Store as a manager in the cosmetic department. She retired from the former Sparrow Blouse Mill, Nazareth.
She was a former member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Nazareth.
Timothy E. Dorwart, 58, formerly of Whitehall, died July 15, 2013, after a 10-year fight with cancer. He was the husband of Janet Dorwart for 32 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of Betty M. (Dresher) Dorwart of Whitehall and the late Nelson H. Dorwart.
Leon E. Creyer Sr., 91, of Beersville, died July 15, 2013, at Alexandria Manor, Bath. He was the husband of Betty Jean (Hummel) Creyer for 65 years.
Born in Seemsville, he was a son of the late William Sr. and Jennie (Michael) Creyer.
He was in the U.S. Army 614th Ordnance Ammunition Company during World War II in the South Pacific and Philippines.
He worked for the former J.M. Snyder Sales and Service, Neffs, as a mechanic for many years until he retired in 1965.
He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Little Moore, Danielsville.
Mabel M. Hauke, 82, of Coplay, died July 7, 2013 in Whitehall Manor. She was the wife of the late Robert A. Hauke Sr. for 54 years.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas T. and Rose (Lucci) Argeson.
She was the secretary of Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, Coplay, for five decades. She assisted her parents and siblings in the operation of Argeson Florist, Allentown.
She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Coplay, and its Altar and Rosary Society.
Betty J. Reinert, 89, of Emmaus, died peacefully July 7, 2013. She was the wife of the late Paul D. Reinert, an Army veteran of World War II, who died in 1984.
Born in the Mountainville section of Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Estella A. (Laubach) Erdman.
She was employed at the Emmaus Shirt Factory and as a secretary for her family business.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Emmaus.
Caroline Dee Becker, 49, of Slatington, died July 10, 2013.
Born Nov. 30, 1963, in Allentown, she was the daughter of Karen A. (Wachter) Hahn of Bethlehem and the late Henry J. Becker.
She was the stepdaughter of Richard G. Hahn.
She was a bartender at American Legion Post 576 Social Hall and prior to that Woody's Bar and Grill, both in Allentown.
William J. Deutsch, 80, died July 4, 2013. He was the husband of Ethel (Kutlik) Deutsch.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Deborah Hausman, and a granddaughter, Alexandra Elizabeth Hausman.

Anna M. Gross, 93, formerly of Northampton, died July 8, 2013, at Easton Hospital, Wilson Borough. She was the wife of the late Andrew W. Gross.
Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Metro Lukowsky.
She was a seamstress and machine operator for various garment companies in the Lehigh Valley area for more than 25 years until she retired in 1981.
She was a Lutheran.
She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U.
Willis E. Warner Jr., 33, of West Catasauqua, died July 12, 2013, at home.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of Willis E. Sr. and Diana K. (Barna) Warner, with whom he resided.
He was a 1998 graduate of Whitehall High School.
He was a craftsman for K&K Construction, Allentown, for the past 13 years.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Chad of Whitehall; a sister, Trudy of Catasauqua; maternal grandmother, Helen Barna of Whitehall; and extended family.
