Erna Trinkle, 91, of Fullerton and a guest at Whitehall Manor, died Oct. 19, 2013, in Sacred Heart Hospital.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Julianna (Muik) Trinkle.

She was the executive assistant to the vice president of Finance, Air Products and Chemicals , Trexlertown, for 27 years, retiring in 1983.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, Whitehall.

She was a member of the Golden Agers, the former Women of Saint Elizabeth and the Secretaries Association of the Lehigh Valley.

Ellen M. Stepp, 68, of Northampton, died Oct. 20, 2013, at her home. She was the wife of the late John Stepp Sr.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Clinton and Irene (Frantz) Silfies.

Before retiring in 2010, she was a certified nurse's assistant at Liberty Nursing and Rehab, Allentown.

She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Northampton.

Elwood E. George, 77, of Hanover Township, died Oct. 25, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Darlene (Berg) George for 53 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Grant and Beatrice (Pierce) George.

He graduated from barber school in 1961.

He owned Woody's Barbershop, Allentown, before retiring in 2004.

He was a member of the Hanover Township Zoning Board for many years.

Samuel J. Ruff, 68, of Allentown, died Oct. 19, 2013, at his home. He was the husband of Sidney (Johnson) Ruff for 13 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Joseph F. and Virginia (Kohlmeier) Ruff.

He was a 1962 graduate of Dieruff High School.

He was a technician for Fisher Clinical Services, Trexlertown, before retiring. Before that, he worked at the Globe Times, Bethlehem, for 18 years and at the Call Chronicle, Allentown, for 12 years.

George F. Spaits, 75, of Northampton, died Oct. 7, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Martha "Dympna" (Doherty) Spaits for 52 years.

Born in Hokendauqua, he was a son of the late Frank and Ethel (Beidleman) Spaits.

He was in the U.S. Navy and retired after 20 years of service.

He worked at Bell Telephone, later AT&T.

He was a member of Queenship of Mary Church.

Fred A. Mueller, 89, of Bell, Fla., died Oct. 17, 2013, at his son's residence in Lehigh Township.

He was born in Germany.

He was employed as a diesel mechanic for United Parcel Service for 30 years before retiring in 1993.

He is survived by two sons, Fred H. of Northampton and Edward and his wife Amy of Lehigh Township; and a step-sister, Vera of Germany.

He was predeceased by a brother, Harry Mueller.

Arrangements were made by Schisler Funeral Home Inc., Northampton.

She was a member of Queenship of Mary Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.

She was a member of the former St. Joseph Sick and Beneficial Society.

Janet C. Klobosits, 78, of Cementon, died Oct. 18, 2013, at home. She was the wife of John E. Klobosits for 56 years.

Born in Cementon, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Gladish) Klobosits.

She worked for Cross Country Clothes, Northampton.

She was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, John Jr. of Allentown; two daughters, Rose of Coplay and Michele and her husband Mark D'Antonio of Schnecksville, and five grandchildren, Derek, Caitlin, Krysta, Alyssa and Zachary.
