Rose “Tootsie” M. Jany, 90, of Northampton, died Nov. 20, 2019, at ManorCare, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Louis “Loitch” F. Jany.
Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Albert P. and Rose (Meltsch) Deibert.
She was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton.
She was a member of the AARP, Northampton.
Walter “Tex” Torba Sr., 85, of Whitehall, died Nov. 14, 2019. He was the husband of Barbara (Mondrick) Torba for 47 years and of the late Marlene (Schultz) Torba.
Born in North Whitehall Township, he was a son of the late Michael Torba and Mary (Meeko) Torba Yuhas.
He was a graduate of Whitehall High School.
He was in the U.S. Army.
He worked at Phoenix Forging Company, Catasauqua, for 45 years before retiring in 1998.
He was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church, North Catasauqua.
Naomi Belle Bevier, 94, formerly of resident of Moravia, N.Y., and recently of Danielsville, died Nov. 10, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Bevier.
Born in Marcellus, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Roy and Myrtle (Sevier) Slater Sr.
She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses of the Groton, N.Y., congregation and of the Northampton congregation.
Lois J. Hahn, 62, of Bath, died Nov. 13, 2019, at home. She was the wife of Randolph S. Hahn for 40 years.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Margaret (Kolb) Eberts.
She was a route organizer for MacIntosh Linen & Uniform, Bethlehem, for 40 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Jay S. and his wife Jessica of Bushkill Township; two sisters, Carol Rappe and Louise Lack, both of Bath; two grandchildren, Kellan S. and Everly R.; a mother-in-law, Althea Hahn of Fogelsville; nieces; and nephews.
William J. Procanyn, 85, of Northampton, died Nov. 11, 2019, at his home. He was the husband of Louise (Balliet) Procanyn.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Ondush) Procanyn.
He was a private first class in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He owned and operated Procanyn TV & Electronic Repair Shop, Northampton, for more than 35 years before he retired in 2000.
He was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.
Henrietta June Devereaux, 99, of North Catasauqua, died Nov. 15, 2019, at Cedarbrook, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of the late William J. Devereaux.
She was a daughter of the late George and Helen (Fronckewicz) Vandergrift.
She was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church and of the former St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church of North Catasauqua, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
Christopher “Kip” Michael Ernst, 51, of Coplay, died Nov. 11, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Christine T. (Matuczinski) Ernst for 28 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of Walter R. and the late Carol A. (Szilezy) Ernst of Cementon.
He was a maintenance worker for Whitehall-Coplay School District for 20 years. He worked previously for Stahley’s Landscaping and Plantique for many years.
Margaret Matika, 87, formerly of Whitehall, died Nov. 14, 2019, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late John M. Matika.
Born in North Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late John and Kathryn (Holuko) Novak.
She was the proprietor of a ceramics business for many years until she retired.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton.
Edward H. Randolph, 81, of Whitehall, died Nov. 8, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Lorraine A. (Mason) Randolph for 58 years.
Born in Stiles, he was a son of the late Frank and Anna (Artinger) Randolph.
He was in the National Guard.
He worked in production at Mack Trucks for more than 30 years before retiring. Before that, he worked a variety of jobs in the Lehigh Valley.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for many years.
The Rev. Michael J. Bodnyk Sr., 68, of Orefield, died peacefully Nov. 7, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, surrounded by his loving family.
He and his wife, Sandra L. (Smith) Bodnyk, were married 44 years on Feb. 8.
Born Dec. 5, 1950, in Allentown, Pastor Mike, as he was known, was the son of the late Dorothy I. (Shankweiler) Bodnyk and the late Lt. Col. Metro Bodnyk, U.S.A.F., retired.
