Following its critically-acclaimed production of "August: Osage County," Civic Theatre presents another Lehigh Valley premiere, that of "Other Desert Cities."

The audience walks to their seats for the Act 1 DeSales University Theatre performance of "The Diary of Anne Frank," knowing the tragic final outcome that awaited Anne and her family. Yet still, the audience comes. For while the true life story of Anne Frank has an unhappy ending, in the end, it is Anne's spirit that triumphs.
"The Diary of Anne Frank" continues through March 2 on the Main Stage, Labuda Center for the Performing Arts, DeSales University, Center Valley.
Tag along with Huck and Jim on their quintessential boy's adventure when "Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" opens at 7 p.m. March 7, 8 and 2 p.m. March 9 in the auditorium of Catasauqua High School, 2500 W. Bullshead Road, Northampton.
The grand musical, directed by Robert Fahringer, recounts the exploits of Huckleberry Finn (Patric Corrocher) when he goes with runaway slave Jim (Kanyi Creppy) on a quest for freedom and adventure.

The Canadian band, The Cowboy Junkies, emerged from the Toronto music scene with a blend of country, blues, folk and rock. The band, in which three of the four members are siblings, formed in 1985.
Their melodic cover of Lou Reed's "Sweet Jane" was used in the 1994 film, "Natural Born Killers," and was the group's highest-charting single in the United States, reaching No. 5 on the modern rock chart. The group is now on a tour of the northeast United States.
