PUBLIC NOTICE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed electronic bids for the 2020 ROADWAY CRACK SEALING PROGRAM will be received by Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County, on March 11, 2020 until 3:00 PM (Prevailing Time) via the PennBID Electronic Bid Management System and opened shortly thereafter. All specifications are available at https://pennbid procureware.com. The Contract will generally include the placement of 6,300 Gallons of Polymer Modified Crack Sealant along 54 Township roadways as identified on Page 3A of the Proposal and Contract. The work shall include all materials and surface preparation. All bidders on the project must be pre-qualified by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in accordance with Section 102.01 of PennDOT Specification Publication 408, latest edition. The successful bidder will be required to furnish separate bonds with corporate surety issued by companies authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on the prescribed forms dated the date of the Contract, or separate Federal or Commonwealth chartered lending institution irrevocable letters of credit in a form accepted and approved by the Township, each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, to secure (a) the faithful performance and maintenance of the Contract; and (b) the prompt payment of materials and labor. Lower Macungie Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. The bidder who is awarded the Contract may be required to pay "PennBID" a nominal fee.
