Vehicle damaged

A Whitehall resident reported to police Oct. 25 her 2009 Mazda was struck by another vehicle while it was parked in the 900 block of Catherine Drive.

The woman told police the driver's side rear fender and doors were damaged.

The driver fled the scene without stopping, police said.

Money stolen from vehicle

A Whitehall resident informed police Oct. 24 someone entered his parked car and stole between $40 and $60 in change.

His 2006 Pontiac had been parked in the unit block of South Fourth Street, police said.

Kayla Gradwohl of Bath is a freshman electrical engineering major and the freshman class treasurer. Gradwohl serves on the budget, Casino Week and capital projects committees. She is the daughter of David Gradwohl and Linda Leschinger.

Richard J. Gilliard, 74, of Bethlehem, died Oct. 14, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Sandra (Bernini) for 50 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Frederick W. and Anna C. (Milkovitz) Gilliard.

He was a Central Catholic High School graduate. He earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education at Millersville University.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and was in the 82nd Airborne paratroopers from 1958 to 1961.

Motorist flees police

State police responded Oct. 2 to a report of a motorist fleeing officers on East Race Street at Willowbrook Road, Hanover Township.

According to police, Kenneth Charles Conklin was stopped by officers for an expired registration. Conklin then proceeded to flee in the vehicle while traveling into a field off the roadway, police said. The pursuit ended as the vehicle was left abandoned in the area of 10 Fashion Drive and Conklin fled on foot.

Police later apprehended Conklin.

Queenship of Mary Church member

Janet C. Klobosits, 78, of Cementon, died Oct. 18, 2013, at home. She was the wife of John E. Klobosits for 56 years.

Born in Cementon, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Gladish) Soroka.

She worked for Cross Country Clothes, Northampton.

She was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, John Jr. of Allentown; two daughters, Rose of Coplay and Michele and her husband Mark D'Antonio of Schnecksville, and five grandchildren, Derek, Caitlin, Krysta, Alyssa and Zachary.

· Officers were called to the 800 block of Hunter Street to investigate a report of harassment.

· Officers assisted EMS in the 700 block of Grove Street.

· A report of a suspicious activity brought police to the 1000 block of Howertown Road.

· Officers responded to a report of wires down in the 1200 block of Second Street.

· An alarm summoned police to the 1200 block of Eighth Street.
