Fire company to host dinner buffet

The Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company Country Garden will hold an all-you-can-eat Italian themed dinner buffet on Friday, Feb. 1, from 4 till 8 p.m.

The dinner will include soup, salad bar, rolls, side dishes, entrées and desserts. All proceeds benefit the fire company.

Plan to attend a special program on Monday, Jan. 28, at 7 p.m., in the Kuntz Hall of Hope Lutheran Church to hear volunteers from the Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company discuss the important work they do and how they serve the community.

Cord of Three Women's Ministry is held the second and fourth Mondays of each month, beginning Jan. 28, at Bethany Wesleyan Church, Cherryville.

Coed volleyball for ages 15 and up begins Jan. 6. Volleyball will be held every Sunday night with recreational play from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and competitive play from 7:15 to 9 p.m.

Bethany church collecting coats

Bethany Wesleyan Church is collecting coats for hurricane relief.

Through Sunday, Dec. 9, they are collecting new and/or gently used winter coats for youth, adults and children and winter hats and gloves.

These items may be dropped off at the church and will be distributed to families in the New York area.

Historical center open for holiday season Dec. 2 & 9

With all of the signs of the holiday season approaching, the Lehigh Township Historical Society announces two dates in December for a holiday open house.

The historical center will be open for visitors and shoppers 1-4 p.m. Dec. 2 and Dec. 9.

Many unique items available for purchase include maps, ornaments, shirts, DVDs and books.

Two free educational programs are set for Jan. 28 and Feb. 25 at Hope Lutheran Church. More details will follow.
