Klecknersville fire company seeks volunteers

The Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company is seeking conscientious residents willing to be trained to serve as firefighters, EMS or fire police officers.

The volunteer fire company serves Moore Township and Chapman Borough with fire, ambulance and fire police protection.

Moore Land Preservation Board to meet April 7

The Moore Township Land Preservation Board announces its semiannual open house to be held 7 p.m. Monday, April 8, at the Moore Township municipal building, 2491 Community Drive (Route 946).

Guest speakers include Maria Bentzoni from the Northampton County Land Preservation Board and Erin Lee from the Natural Lands Trust Conservancy.

Christ United Church of Christ, Little Moore, 913 S. Mink Road, Danielsville, has the following events scheduled:

· Spring bazaar – Saturday, March 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. featuring crafts, homemade Easter candy and white elephant items. The kitchen will be open.

· Used clothing drive – Sunday, March 24.

· Ham and dandelion dinner – Saturday, April 13, served country style 3:30-6 p.m. No tickets will be sold at the door. For tickets, call Brenda Eckhart by March 31 at 610-837-0680.

Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, 696 Johnson Road, Moorestown, will host a concert featuring the Penn State Choir "Essence of Joy."

The youth group at Christ United Church of Christ, Little Moore, is sponsoring a yard sale Saturday, March 2. Tables are still available for a cost.

The yard sale will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and set up will take place Friday evening from 6-8:30 p.m.

School to host dinner, raffle

Moore Elementary School's sixth-grade class will hold its annual spaghetti dinner and basket raffle Saturday, Feb. 23, from 4 to 7:30 p.m.

The dinner will be held at the Klecknersville Rangers Fire Hall, located at 2718 Mountain View Drive. Advance tickets are not required.

The Sixth-Grade Events Committee is accepting donations for the basket raffle from now until before the dinner. For more information, contact Deb Gantz or Kim Hartzell.

Proceeds will be used for the sixth-grade class trip.

Moore Basketball Day set for Saturday at NCC

Moore Township Athletic Association (MTAA) announces "Moore Township Basketball Day" at Northampton Community College on Saturday, Jan 19.

Moore Township players are invited to attend and wear their Moore uniforms. Any Moore Township player attending will be recognized at halftime during the NCC men's basketball game, which begins at 2 p.m.

Moore Township Recreation Center wants to remind residents that sleigh riding is allowed on the rec center grounds.

Residents are also reminded that the walking track is open again this year through the end of March. The track will be open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 6 to 9 p.m. The track is a well-lit, safe place to exercise.

Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, is announcing a change in worship schedules for the holidays.

A Christmas concert will take place Sunday, Dec. 23, at 2 p.m. Refreshments will follow.

Christmas Eve worship times are 5, 7, 9 and 11 p.m. and Christmas Day worship is at 10 a.m.

No worship or activities scheduled for Dec. 26 and no Sunday school is scheduled for Dec. 30.

Santa to visit Moore, Chapman Dec. 22

The Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company has invited Santa Claus to tour Moore Township and Chapman Borough.

Santa will travel on a fire truck delivering presents and visiting with children Dec. 22. If you would like to have Santa come to your home and deliver a present to your children, drop the present off along with a donation for the fire company at the fire house located on Route 946 in Klecknersville.
