Becahi dominates Kids

For Bethlehem Catholic head coach Joe Henrich, the Golden Hawks’ 48-0 victory over Northampton last week was the perfect result.

While he was certainly happy to leave Al Erdosy Stadium with a shutout victory, Bethlehem Catholic still made a number of mistakes that caught the coach’s eye and will help keep his team grounded this week in practice.

The Golden Hawks fumbled twice, committed six penalties for 55 yards, and dropped a wide-open touchdown pass through the hands of the receiver.

After an impressive 31-0 victory in week one against East Stroudsburg North, the Northampton football team learned that its competition in the EPC South is on a different level.

The K-Kids fell to Bethlehem Catholic 48-0 at Al Erdosy Stadium on Sept. 1.

Northampton was held to 77 total yards of offense. Running back Hunter Wacik led the offense with 46 yards on 21 carries.

The Northampton defense started strong against the Golden Hawks, but ultimately gave up too many big plays to Becahi running back Tavion Banks.
