William A. Hoenscheid
William A. Hoenscheid, 78, of Egypt, died Jan. 25, 2020, at Lehigh Valley Hospice Inpatient Unit, Allentown. He was the husband of Barbara J. (Kolodich) Hoenscheid for 52 years.
Born in New York, N.Y., he was a son of the late Philip T. and Catherine (Seier) Hoenscheid.
He was a 1958 graduate of William Cullen Bryant High School, Queens, where he was a city champion in track.
He was in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban missile crisis and the Vietnam era.
He was an assistant chief of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Cranford, N.J., and retired in 1995.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Debbie A. Hoenscheid of Egypt; a grandson, Jason W. Dziedzic of Egypt; a brother, Robert and his wife Linda of Northampton; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Philip.
There will be a calling time 7-8:30 p.m. Jan. 31 at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, with an additional calling time 9-10 a.m., followed by a funeral service 10 a.m., Feb. 1 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St., Whitehall.
