Coplay police responded to these and other calls recently.

DEC. 29

Officers investigated reports that six vehicles in the 100 block of South Eighth Street were entered and various items were stolen.

Police provided a protection-from-abuse service in the unit block of North Front Street.

A neighbor complaint regarding garbage in the 100 block of North Second Street was addressed.

The department assisted Emmaus police with a protection-from-abuse service in the 1000 block of Bernice Drive.

A parking complaint in the unit block of South Third Street was handled.

DEC. 30

Officers investigated a report of harassment by communication in the unit block of North Front Street.

Suspicious activity in the 200 block of Chestnut Street brought police to the scene.

A parking complaint in the 200 block of Chestnut Street was addressed.

DEC. 31

Police were on the scene of an attempted burglary in the 100 block of South Second Street.

A report of possible shots fired in the area of South Fifth and Center streets was investigated. Nothing was located.

Officers assisted a citizen in the 900 block of Chestnut Street.

A citation was issued for driving while suspended during a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Second Street.

The department assisted Whitehall police in attempting to contact a resident in the 200 block of Coplay Street.

JAN. 1

A suspicious vehicle in the unit block of North Front Street was investigated.

Police assisted a citizen in the 1000 block of Oak Street.

JAN. 2

Officers investigated reports of thefts from vehicles in the 100 block of North Front Street.

Suspicious activity in the 300 block of Schreiber Avenue was reported.

Police assisted a citizen in the unit block of South Fourth Street and the Coplay-Northampton Bridge.

JAN. 3

Officers investigated a report of three suspicious males in the 100 block of North Front Street. The two adult males were sent on their way. The juvenile male was in violation of the curfew ordinance and was transported home.

Northampton Borough Police Department requested assistance with a domestic dispute in the 1300 block of Newport Avenue.

Two pit bulls were reported running loose in the unit block of South Front Street.

A suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of North Front Street was reported.

JAN. 4

Police responded to a report of a solicitor going door to door without a permit.

Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of North Second Street.
