Louis J. Klement, 87, of Coplay, died Nov. 26, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth “Betty” T. Klement for 51 years.

He was a son of the late Alois and Johanna (Groller) Klement.

He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Allentown.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in the Korean War.

He worked at Mack Trucks for more than 35 years until he retired in 1993.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Stiles.

He was a member of West Coplay Maennerchor. He volunteered at St. John the Baptist Church and at the Coplay Legion ball field.

He is survived by two sons, Michael and his wife Diane of Whitehall and James of Coplay; a daughter, Monica and her husband Duane Bachman of Whitehall; seven grandchildren, Michael and his wife Lori, Heather and her husband Kyle Herring, Justin, Holly and her husband Jason Lotti, Sierra Bachman and her fiance Tyler Carter, Morgan Bachman and Luke Bachman; four great-grandchildren, Mason, Owen, Colin and Eden; and a sister, Mary Balster.

He was predeceased by three siblings, Martin, John and Johanna.
