Brady receives scholarship

Ellen Brady, of Whitehall, is one of four LCCC students who recently received the Occupational Therapy Assistant Scholarship, funded through the program’s annual Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant conference held in June.

Brady will be awarded $500 for the spring 2020 semester to be applied toward tuition.

This award is presented to senior students entering their final semester of the program. Recipients must have achieved a 3.0 grade-point average or higher in OTA courses and show a commitment to the profession through community service, participation in the occupational therapy organization, a passion for practice as a COTA and a willingness to be an ambassador for the LCCC program.

Alexis Freedman, of Whitehall, and Madison Zangl, of Catasauqua, were inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, the International Educational Honors Society, at Lehigh Carbon Community College.

The society inducts only individuals who have exhibited the ideals of scholarship, integrity in service and commitment to excellence in teaching and its allied professions.

Selection is based on high academic achievement, a commitment to education as a career and a professional attitude that assures steady growth in the profession. This educational honor society has more than 550 active chapters.
