Carol A. Strohe (Wunderler)
Carol A. Strohe (Wunderler), 54, of Bethlehem, died Nov. 30, 2019, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of David Faust.
She was a daughter of Carl Jr. and Hilda (Kollar) Wunderler.
She graduated from Northampton High School, where she excelled in athletics. She held high school shot put and discus records for 29 and 30 years, respectively. She was dominant on the basketball and volleyball courts and the softball field at Northampton Community College. She earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from East Stroudsburg University.
She was a health and physical education teacher for more than 20 years in the Whitehall-Coplay School District. She also coached track and field, youth soccer and youth softball.
She was admired and highly respected by her colleagues and students. She was passionate about family and was an incredible and fun-loving mother, grandmother, wife, daughter and friend.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by two daughters, Taylor R. (Strohe) Labar and her husband Tim of Port Isabel, Texas, and Tatum C. Strohe of Bangor; a son, Cam W. Strohe of Bangor; two stepchildren, Sarah and Andrew Faust of Northampton; two sisters, Diane M. (Wunderler) Hubka of Great Falls, Mont., and Dr. Denise L. Wunderler, D.O., FAOASM of Holmdel, N.J.; a brother, Carl Wunderler III of Macungie; two grandchildren, Corbin and Gryffin Labar; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
There will be visitation 5-8 p.m. Dec. 4 and 9-10 a.m. Dec. 5, followed by a funeral service 10 a.m., all at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton.
