Allen/East Allen townships: Good Shepherd plans party

After a hectic holiday, come to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1335 Old Carriage Road, Kreidersville, Nov. 29 for an evening of fun and relaxation.

Doors open 4 p.m. to purchase homemade comfort foods and desserts for your evening meal, purchase tickets, peruse the penny party items and examine the themed baskets that will be raffled off.

The penny party, featuring more than 350 items, begins 5 p.m.

Winners of the basket raffle will be announced 8 p.m.

A silent auction is also planned.

Other upcoming activities at Good Shepherd:

• A free family movie night is planned for Dec. 7. Doors open 6 p.m. The movie “Polar Express” will begin 6:30 p.m. There will be a hot chocolate bar and other sweet treats.

• The choir will be caroling at Redner’s Warehouse Market 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Dec. 8.

• A Mardi Gras and talent show will be held 4-8 p.m. Feb. 22, 2020. A potluck dinner is planned.


Reminder: Allen Township and East Allen Township municipal buildings will be closed Nov. 28 and 29 for the Thanksgiving holiday.


Zion Stone United Church of Christ, 51 Church Road, Kreidersville, is hosting a breakfast with Santa 9 a.m. Dec. 7.

Donations will be accepted but are not required.

East Allen Township is running a bus trip Dec. 7 to American Music Theatre, Lancaster. The bus will leave 8 a.m. from Catasauqua High School.

Show time will be 10:30 a.m. Lunch at Shady Maple will follow.

Cost includes transportation, tickets and lunch.
