‘Valley Vivaldi’ closing season with concert at Wesley Church

The fourth and final 2019 summer “Valley Vivaldi” concert is 7 p.m. Aug. 18, Wesley Church, 2540 Center St. (Route 512), Bethlehem.

The program is: Vivaldi, “Concerto for Strings in E minor,” RV 134; Tartini, “Violin Concerto in G minor,” Op. 1, D 85; Albinoni, “Trumpet Concerto in B Flat,” Op. 7, No. 3; Telemann, “Concerto à 4 for Recorder, Violin, Oboe and Continuo,” and J. S. Bach, “Concerto in D minor for Two Violins,” BWV 1043.

The musicians are: Lawrence Wright, trumpet; Simon Maurer, violin; Mary Ogletree, violin; Rebecca Brown, violin; Inna Eyzerovich, violin; Agnès Maurer, viola; Elizabeth Mendoza, cello; Nancy Merriam, bass; Rainer Beckmann, recorder; Cheryl Bishkoff, oboe, and Allan Birney, harpsichord.

There’s a post-concert musicians’ reception.

The Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra 2019-20 season begins in September.
