Moore Township: Moore Township schedules movie night in the park Aug. 9

Moore Township is hosting a movie night 7-10 p.m. Aug. 9 at Borek Field on the Moore Township Recreation Center campus, 635 English Road. The film will be “Star Wars: Rogue One.”

No outside food or drink is permitted. The food stand will have hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, chicken fingers, pierogies, soft pretzels, popcorn, candy, slushies, ice cream, soda and water.

Proceeds will benefit the Moore Township Community Days event later in August.

Salem United Church of Christ, 2218 Community Drive, is hosting a peach festival 3-9 p.m. Aug. 10.

There will be food, games, a 50/50 prize raffle, bingo, a cake walk and music by the band Desire. If weather is inclement, food will be sold in the church 3-7 p.m.

Moore Township’s fourth annual Community Days is scheduled for Aug. 23 beginning 4 p.m. and all day Aug. 24 at the Moore Township Recreation Center. There will be live music, craft and flea market vendors and carriage rides with Cinderella. There is a cost for the carriage rides.

There will be a 5K run Aug. 24 beginning 9:30 a.m. Fireworks are scheduled for Aug. 24.
