Moore Township: Salem UCC hosts blueberry festival July 13

Salem United Church of Christ, 2218 Community Drive, is hosting a blueberry festival 3-9 p.m. July 13.

There will be food, games, a 50/50 prize raffle, bingo, a cake walk and music by the band SteelCreek.

If weather is inclement, food will be sold in the church 3-7 p.m.

Moore Township is hosting a movie night in the park 7-10 p.m. July 13 at Borek Field in the Moore Township Recreation campus, located off Route 946.

The feature film will be “ET: The Extra-Terrestrial.”

No outside food or drink is permitted. The food stand will have hot dogs, hamburgers, French fries, chicken fingers, pierogies, soft pretzels, popcorn, candy, slushies, ice cream, soda and water.

Proceeds will benefit the Moore Township Community Days event to be held in August.

Christ United Church of Christ, Little Moore, 913 S. Mink Road, is planning a Circus Spectacular Vacation Bible School 6:15-8 p.m. July 22-26.

Participants are invited to arrive 6 p.m. for a simple meal before each session.

The VBS program is for children ages 3 and up and potty trained.

Each session will have a different Bible-based theme including loving, trusting, inviting, sharing and following. The children will rotate through stations such as crafts, storytime, drama, games and treats.

Family night is July 26. Families are invited for a covered dish dinner 6 p.m. and can participate in VBS with their children.

The closing program will take place July 28 during the 9 a.m. worship service.
