Bath: Church names interim pastor

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, is excited to announce Pastor Dan Clayborne will be joining the church as interim pastor as of July 1.

Emmanuel’s next outdoor worship will be 10 a.m. July 7, which will be Clayborne’s first Sunday with the church.

Come out to give him a big welcome!


Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church’s women’s group will host an outing 7 p.m. July 8 at Hillside Miniature Golf, 3217 Cherryville Road, Northampton.

Scores will be compared, and the winning team will celebrate at Rita’s Italian Ice. The golf games will be on the house.

Governor Wolf Historical Society will be holding its next monthly meeting 7 p.m. July 11 on the campus grounds, 6600 Jacksonville Road. The public is welcome.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 210 E. Northampton St., will be having its annual parish picnic July 12-14 on the parish grounds. There will be food, games and live entertainment each day.

The Bath firefighters 5K run/walk will take place 8-11:30 a.m. July 20. There is still time to sign up.

The race will begin at Ciff Cowling Field, 301 Allen St.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Bath Volunteer Firefighters and Ambulance Corps.

Cash awards will be given to the top male and female finalists. There are prizes for first, second and third place for male and female in six age brackets.

Keystone Rod & Gun Club, 243 Mulberry St., will be having a 3-D archery shoot July 21. Register 7 a.m.-noon.
