Lacrosse teams look to find more wins

For Northampton’s lacrosse teams, putting wins together has been a struggle this season, but staying competitive is what they can hope for as the 2019 season rapidly approaches its conclusion.

The girls team is 2-13 coming into the week, with their lone victories coming against Northwestern, but head coach Paige Hoffman is still pleased with the progress.

“Our team is coming together,” said Hoffman. “Last week’s games were tough but competitive and the girls definitely finished the week feeling hungry for more, which is exciting given that we’re almost through the season. We are looking forward to watching the girls continue to develop their skills and finesse and work together successfully.”

With Pleasant Valley, Easton and Liberty this week, the Kids can hope to spring an upset and add to their win column for the 2019 season.

The boys team entered the week at 4-12 with two wins over Bethlehem Catholic this season, as well as Liberty, and most recently Pottsgrove.

The club will look to finish strong in their final two games, as they take on Liberty and Pleasant Valley, which are both winable games. Northampton lost to PV 8-7 on April 17 and have a good shot to end the season with two straight wins. The team beat Liberty 11-8 on April 18.
