Lehigh police seeking information from public

Possible remains were recovered last week from the debris left over from a house fire in Lehigh Township, where a man and his 10-year-old son were killed Jan. 21.

Township Police Chief Scott Fogel said all that was confirmed is there were “possible remains recovered from the debris that we are going through and the (Northampton County) coroner’s office will be examining further.

“We cannot confirm the type of remains at this time,” Fogel said. “The recovery team is searching the remaining debris.”

The fire broke out 12:47 a.m. Jan. 21 at 1132 Blue Mountain Drive, Danielsville, and claimed the lives of Bruce “Buddy” A. Miller Jr., 36, and his 10-year-old son, Bruce Alan Miller.

The police department has continued to investigate the fire in conjunction with the state police fire marshal and Lehigh Township Fire Marshal.

Fogel said police are seeking any information that people passing by during the early stages of the fire may have. Anyone with information is asked to call 610-760-8800 or email ltpd1@lehightownship.com.
