Lehigh Township: Nativity display dates are set

Wednesday, November 7, 2018 by The Press in Columns

Nativities of all styles, materials, origins and sizes will be on display for families, friends and neighbors to view at Hope Lutheran Church’s 19th annual open house nativity display, held 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Nov. 24 and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 25 at the church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville.

Admission is free, and refreshments and entertainment will be provided. Children are also encouraged to come and take in the sights and make a nativity craft in the children’s nativity center.

People in the community willing to share nativities for the event are welcome to do so. Those who would like to offer a nativity for the weekend can bring it to the church 1-5 p.m. Nov. 23 and plan to retrieve it after 3 p.m. Nov. 25.

The open house nativity display at Hope Lutheran Church has grown in size and popularity each year since the event’s creation in 1999. It is a wonderful way to mark the beginning of Advent and spend time with friends, family and members of the community.

For more information about this display, call the church office at 610-767-7203.

The church hopes to see you at the display and would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas.

Reminder: Bethany Wesleyan Church, 675 Blue Mountain Drive, Cherryville, will host a free Thanksgiving dinner 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 22.

If you will be alone this Thanksgiving, you are invited to come enjoy a great meal with all the trimmings and great fellowship.

To reserve a spot, call the church office at 610-767-1239.
