Queenship of Mary Church member

Eleanore A. Scherr, 83, of Northampton, died Nov. 4, 2018, at Sacred Heart Senior Living, Northampton. She was the wife of the late William Scherr.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late John and Gisela (Bauer) Pail.

She was a 1952 graduate of Northampton High School.

She worked at the Federal Savings and Loan for several years. She assisted her husband at the family park and shop. She retired from Day Timers after 13 years of working in customer service.

She was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton.

She was a member of Catholic War Veterans’ auxiliary and assisted with its annual poppy sale.

She is survived by a son, William and his wife Melissa; two granddaughters, Samantha Scherr and Shayanne and her husband Spenser Beck; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by five siblings, Joe Pail, Mary Stangl, John Pail, Terri Hutnick and baby Pail.

There will be a calling time 8-9:15 a.m. Nov. 10 at the funeral home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. There will be a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m. Nov. 10 at the church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton, 18067.

Contributions may be made to the church; the Arc of Lehigh and Northampton counties, 2289 Avenue A, Bethlehem, 18017; or to Peaceable Kingdom, 1049 MacArthur Road, Whitehall, 18052.
