Moore Township: Check out these two recycling events scheduled in September

Moore Township invites residents to participate in Northampton County’s hazardous waste recycling events.

There will be one held 9 a.m.-noon Sept. 8 at Bethlehem Ice Rink, 345 Illicks Mill Road.

Another will take place 9 a.m.-noon Sept. 22 at Northampton Memorial Community Center, 1601 Laubach Ave.

Moore Township Athletic Association is having a tricky tray and vendor fair 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 9. The event will take place at the Moore Township Recreation Center, 635 English Road.

Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive, is having a Grandparent’s Day breakfast 8 a.m.-noon Sept. 9.

Emmanuel’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, invites the community to its annual picnic noon-5 p.m. Sept. 9. There will be live music, food, games, tractor rides and a cake walk.

Point Phillips Rod and Gun Club, 1035 Smith Gap Road, is having an all-you-can-eat breakfast 8-11:30 a.m. Sept. 9. There is a cost.

Point Phillips is also having a gun and meat raffle 1-5 p.m. Sept. 16. There is a cost. Refreshments and food are provided.

Salem United Church of Christ, 2218 Community Drive, is having a chicken barbecue dinner 3-6 p.m. Sept. 15. The chickens will be made in the grove and will be served in the fellowship hall.

The Moore Township Lions and Lioness clubs are hosting the 22nd annual car show, with crafts, vendors and a flea market, Sept. 16. The event will be held 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Moore Township Recreation Center.

There will be food, a deejay and trophies.

Donations will be accepted to register vehicles.

The rain date is Sept. 23.

The Yoke Fellowship Prison ministry outreach of Mountain View Wesleyan Church, 1001 Deemer Road, is looking for qualified individuals with a strong biblical foundation to take part in the program. Training is available.
