Lehigh Township: Historical society plans open house

Don’t forget about the open house at St. Paul’s Schoolhouse, run by Lehigh Township Historical Society, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 11.

The schoolhouse is located at 780 Almond Road, Walnutport.

There will be a special presentation in the church fellowship hall 11:30 a.m. by Tammy Schane (Talks by Tammy) about the progressive movement of the early 20th century and how it was affected by World War I and the flu pandemic in 1918.

Snacks and drinks will be provided. Donations are welcome.

Bethany Wesleyan Church, 675 Blue Mountain Drive, Cherryville, will host the Collingsworth family for an evening of worship and praise 7 p.m. Sept. 5.

Indianland Garden Club will host a bus trip Sept. 6 to Winterthur House Museum and Gardens in Delaware.

The bus departs 9:15 a.m. from Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville.

The deadline for reservations is Aug. 17.
