Lehigh Township: Lehigh Township Historical Society sets open house

There will be an open house at St. Paul’s Schoolhouse, run by Lehigh Township Historical Society, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 11.

The schoolhouse is located at 780 Almond Road, Walnutport.

There will be a special presentation in the church fellowship hall 11:30 a.m. by Tammy Schane (Talks by Tammy) about the progressive movement of the early 20th century and how it was affected by World War I and the flu pandemic in 1918.

At this annual event, snacks and drinks will be provided.

Bethany Wesleyan Church’s Angel Ride event will be held 10 a.m.-noon Aug. 18 in the church’s main parking lot, 675 Blue Mountain Drive, Cherryville.

This fundraiser features an escorted motorcycle ride, lunch and a Chinese auction.

Cost includes lunch and a door prize.

All proceeds benefit the church’s ministries.
