saylor helps to pace kings COLLEGE
Kings College softball team recently fell Manhattanville in the MAC Freedom Conference championship, 19-6.
Trailing 6-1 in the game, Kings rallied to tie it at 6-6 and former Northampton player Amber Saylor delivered a sacrifice fly RBI as part of the rally.
Saylor, a 2015 Northampton graduate who was part of the 2013 NHS District 11 championship team, is attaining a 3.99 in the physicians assistant program at Kings. In addition, Amber made 1st team all-conference in the MAC in 2018. She also attained second team all-conference in 2016 and 2017.
Saylor played in 41 games this season and hit .310 with seven doubles, four triples and a HR to go along with 23 RBIs. Her .419 on-base percentage is tops on the team as is her 23 steals and 24 walks.
Saylor also led the MAC conference in walks and stolen bases.
In the field she recorded 54 putouts and one assist with just two errors for a .965 fielding percentage playing left field. She led the team with 12 multihit games. She had one of her best games of the year in King’s 4-1 victory over Delaware Valley when she went 2-for-2 with a walk, scored two runs, knocked in a run, and stole two bases.
