Bath: Open house is set
The Bath Fire Department, 121 Center St., will be having an open house 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 14. You will have the chance to meet your local firefighters and see rescue demonstrations. There will be food, a moon bounce and much more.
Emmanuel Lutheran Church’s junior youth group, grades 1-6, is having its trip to Seiple Farms Oct. 21. Meet 10 a.m. at the church, located at 3175 Valley View Drive.
There will be hayrides, pumpkin picking (each child will be given $5 toward a pumpkin), farm animals and even a small corn maze.

The Bath museum, located in the Bath Borough building at Penn and Washington streets, will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 21.
The Governor Wolf Historical Society museum, 6600 Jacksonville Road, will be open to the public 1-3 p.m. Oct. 21, with tours of the society’s campus offered.

Emmanuel’s J-Walkers youth group will be holding an Octoberfest dinner 5-7 p.m. Oct. 21 to benefit youth attending the 2018 ELCA Youth Gathering in Houston, Texas. There will be authentic German cuisine consisting of sausages, pork, German potato salad, red cabbage, cooked carrots, sauerkraut, pretzels, beer cheese and dinner rolls. Apple pie and cookies are on the menu for dessert.
The dinner will be a continuous sitting and will include polka music for dancing.
The Borough of Bath will be having a community campfire at Volunteer Firefighters Park, North Chestnut Street and Creek Road, 7-10 p.m. Oct. 21.
