Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association will celebrate the holiday with “Froth of July, a Thirst for History” 11 a.m.-2 p.m. July 4 at the Biery House, 8 Race St. An exhibit of brews and bottles of Catasauqua’s breweries will be featured.

There is free admission, free beer (while the supply lasts) and free parking at the Deily Coal Yard, 5 Union St.

For more information, contact Deb at 610-231-0603.

Summer is here, and so are the pollinators! Lois Prytherch, a Pennsylvania master gardener and a new beekeeper, will discuss the joys, successes and difficulties of becoming a new beekeeper for Catasauqua Garden Club. The buzz will start 1 p.m. July 5 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua.

Horticultural and artistic design exhibits should be set up early as not to disturb this honey of a program.

Light refreshments will be available.

Save the date for the Catasauqua High School Class of 1966’s “just because we’re getting older” picnic Sept. 16 at North Catasauqua Park.

A catered picnic menu, the event is BYOB.

The price of the picnic will follow in the near future.
