Lehigh Township: Charity event planned

Wednesday, June 14, 2017 by The Press in Columns

Sunday Pool League, a not-for-profit organization currently consisting of more than 150 local members throughout the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas, hosts a charity pool tournament to benefit a local cause or organization each year. This year, proceeds will be donated to Paul’s House sponsored by VALOR Clinic Foundation.

VALOR is an organization for veterans to help other veterans to navigate through the process of recovering and rebuilding.

The annual tournament fundraiser will be held July 8 at the Roosevelt Democratic Club in Danielsville. There will be two-person teams, double elimination and prizes for winners.

Registration starts noon, and the tournament begins 1 p.m.

There will be a Chinese auction, 50/50 tickets and raffles.

The event is open to the public, 21 years and older.

Playing in the tournament is not required to attend the event and show your support.
