Wednesday, March 29, 2017 by The Press in Columns

Lehigh Township Historical Society will hold its “Final Spring” basket social 1-4 p.m. April 2 at Blue Mountain Fish & Game, 4190 Wood Drive.

Tickets will be sold at the door.

The kitchen will be open.

The drawings will take place at 4 p.m. Winners will be notified if not present.

For more information, call 610-440-0151.

April 8 is Opening Trails Day, weather permitting, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Lehigh Township Rails to Trails will have a display at the Cove Road Trailhead along the Delaware and Lehigh Trail. Stop by and pick up a trail map, a bottle of water or a snack bar.

Rails to Trails members will be happy to discuss the group’s past and present projects.

You can also take a chance to win a $25 Redner’s gift card. The drawing will be held in early June.

The Bertsch-Hokendauqua-Catasauqua Watershed Association is sponsoring a free wildlife program 6:30 p.m. April 7 at Blue Mountain Fish & Game Association, 4190 Wood Drive.

There is a trout stocking at the club’s lake 5 p.m.

Food will be available for purchase between the time of trout stocking and the start of the program.

Bring the whole family to see the trout stocking, have dinner and see this program, presented by the Pocono Wildlife and Rehab Center. See live critters up close and personal. Critter hint: It can’t shoot its quills.
