Church to host festival

The annual country festival will take place 3-9 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 16 at Christ United Church of Christ.

There will be live music, food and games for children and adults. A cakewalk is planned, along with a raffle with more than 100 great prizes.

Rain date is Sunday, Aug. 17, from noon-6 p.m.


Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 696 Johnson Drive, Moorestown, is having a community block party 3-8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 23.

There will be food, games and live music in addition to a cake walk and basket raffle.

Emmanuel's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, is having outdoor worship, Sunday, Aug. 17, at 9:30 a.m. in the pavilion.

Benches are available or feel free to bring a chair or blanket.

Moore Elementary School has homeroom assignments posted for the 2014-15 school year.

Students are listed by their six-digit ID number. No student names will be posted. The listings are posted on the lobby doors at the school and on the Moore Elementary website at www.nasdschools. org/moore.cfm?subpage=12718. You can also access the NASD community portal through Sapphire, which will not only list your child's homeroom, but also his or her class schedule for the year.


Moore Township has commemorative pottery mugs and September lottery calendars for sale.

Proceeds will go toward the 250th anniversary celebration scheduled for 2015.
