The Rev. Aaron W. Fox
The Rev. Aaron W. Fox, 87, formerly of Whitehall, died Feb. 14, 2014, at Phoebe Terrace. He was the husband of Marietta M. (Schuler) Fox for 64 years.
Born in Macungie, he was a son of the late Aaron R. and Irene V. (Wendling) Fox.
He was a graduate of Muhlenberg College and Lancaster Theological Seminary.
He was in the U.S. Army in the Phillipines and Korea.
He was pastor emeritus of St. John's U.C.C., Fullerton, where he served for 40 years.
He was a stated supply pastor at Trinity U.C.C., Coplay, for 10 years.
He was the charter secretary of the Penn Northeast Conference of the United Church of Christ.
He was a member and tail twister of the Whitehall Lions Club.
He officiated at many township and school district functions.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Kevin and his wife Melody of Northampton; a daughter, Cynthia M. Reck of Whitehall; grandchildren, Joseph and Jennifer, Nicole, Lauren and Craig, Stephen and Christine; a great–granddaughter, Natalie and another on the way; and a sister, Anna Mae and her husband Theodore DeWalt.
He was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Moyer; and a brother, Gerald Gillespie.
