Catty Presbyterian church elder

Leila P. Klinger, 91, of Bethlehem, died Nov. 9, 2013, in her residence. She was the wife of the late Thomas R. Klinger.

Born in Smithfield, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Charles I. and Helen (Parker) Pierce.

She was a doctor's office receptionist, retiring from the office of Dr. Angelo.

She was a U.S.O. girl in various service clubs during the war years.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, where she was an elder and a member of the women's society.

She was a member of the Catasauqua Women's Club.

She is survived by two sons, Lee Pierce and his wife Gail and Thomas Jr. and his wife Bonnie; a daughter, Jane and her husband James Herndon; a brother, Joe Pierce; and six grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sisters; and one brother.
