William L. Widner

William L. Widner, 94, of Allentown, died Oct. 6, 2013, in the Lutheran Home at Topton under hospice care. He was the husband of the late Hilda M. (Rosner) Widner for 60 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Louis and Mary (Grosschadl) Widner.

He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was a carpenter and worked for Bracy Contracting for many years.

He was a member of Saint Paul's Catholic Church, Allentown.

He was a life member of both the LV Carpenters Union 600 and Fearless Fire Company.

He is survived by a grandson, Christopher M. Widner of Mertztown and his mother Linda L. Widner of Whitehall; and a son, William F. Widner of Bath.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Ann Widner; and a son, Ronald L. Widner; and siblings.
