Klecknersville fire company seeks volunteers

The Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company is seeking conscientious residents willing to be trained to serve as firefighters, EMS or fire police officers.

The volunteer fire company serves Moore Township and Chapman Borough with fire, ambulance and fire police protection.

Point Phillips Rod & Gun Club, 1035 Smith Gap Road, has scheduled its monthly all-you-can-eat breakfast for 8-11:30 a.m. Sunday, April 14.

Also that same day, a 3-D archery shoot begins at 7 a.m. and is open to the public. For more information, contact the club at 610-837-0310.


The Moore Township Lions Club is sponsoring a block shoot and meat raffle 1-5 p.m. Sunday, April 21.

The event will be held at Point Phillips Rod & Gun Club, 1035 Smith Gap Road, Bath.

Proceeds benefit the Lions Club.


The youth group of Christ United Church of Christ, Little Moore, is sponsoring two upcoming events:

· A dinner show on April 27. Doors open at 5 p.m and the show begins at 5:30 p.m. The evening will include a progressive meal served by the youth group with a show titled "Trial by Error." Tickets are available in advance. For more information or to reserve tickets, call Connie at 610-837-3526.

· A musical concert featuring the group Captive Free 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 30. Captive Free is a Christian ministry group sponsored by Youth Encounter. An offering will be collected.

Little Moore will also hold a spring basket social Friday, May 3. Doors open at 4 p.m. with the drawing at 8 p.m. The kitchen will be open.

Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, 696 Johnson Road, Moorestown, is starting a new eight-week Bible study for women entitled "Crazy Love."

It will be held in the fellowship hall beginning Friday, April 19, at 9:15 a.m.

The Moore Township Athletic Association has scheduled sign-ups for fall football, cheerleading and soccer.

They will be held May 11, 18 and 25 at the Borek Football Field team room from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. There is a fee.
